…and the best way to access them was with a ballpoint pen tip. By pressing the tip onto the end of your spring stack, you’re able to pull the stack out without dumping your washer stack. But, it’s not like ballpoint pens are standardized and you have to make the tool yourself. The tool wears out, it’s still a bit cumbersome to use, there’s no easy release mechanism, and it’s not very repeatable.

Enter this new tool, and all of those issues are fixed.

A subtle internal taper ensures that the tool has a long service-life. As the polymer inevitably wears down, new material is introduced in its place.

A plunger and an internal spring make it so that after the stack is extracted, or when trying to reinstall it, it’s easy to release the stack.

Flanges on the side of the barrel allow the user to grip it like a syringe, facilitating a much more natural manipulation of the tool.
